Changelog

0.0.5: Google Analytics connector

Connect Google Analytics 4 to Magma and choose which property each project uses.

New

  • Google Analytics in Settings → Connectors. Connect one or several Google accounts to your workspace. Magma lists every Analytics property each account can access, with names and IDs, and you can refresh the list at any time.
  • One property per project. Open a project's Connectors tab to link a property, change it or unlink it. The same property can serve several projects.
  • Several projects per workspace. Create more projects from the Projects list. Each one has Project, Connectors and Settings sections.
  • Disconnect and reconnect safely. Disconnecting an account removes Magma's stored Google credentials. Your saved property choices stay in place and become active again when you reconnect.

Privacy and access

  • Magma asks Google only for read-only Analytics access (analytics.readonly). It never changes or deletes anything in your Google Analytics.
  • Google has reviewed and approved this access for Magma.
  • Signing in to Magma stays separate from your Google account. Connecting Google doesn't change how you sign in.
  • Connections and links belong to your workspace. Other workspaces can't see or use them.

Good to know

  • Disconnecting in Magma doesn't remove Magma from your Google account. To revoke it on Google's side as well, go to myaccount.google.com/permissions.
  • Reports from the linked property arrive with 0.0.6.
